Jennie CromwellJennie is the Bible Study Editor of The Wanted Man. A volunteer missionary to the Ukrain and Russia, as well as to the Appalachian Mountains, Utah, and Michigan, she has conducted Bible Studies literally all over the world. She is also the Mother of Derek Cromwell, The Wanted Man. Testimony:I was born and grew up in Upton,
Kentucky. When I was 12 years old,
I was reborn (saved, received salvation). Jesus
Christ became my Lord and Savior, my trusted friend, my advisor, my counsel. A tent revival was being held on a
limestone hillside near our home. Some of my friends and I attended and I
received the message that God intended for my heart and mind that night. I had gone to church and Sunday School
all my life and my grandfather was a minister, but that night the message opened
my understanding of what the Lord wanted for me. After receiving Jesus, even at a
young age of 12, the rebirth was so joyous that for the next few weeks, I rode
all over Upton on my bicycle, stopping at people’s houses and telling them
what the Lord had done for me! I attended college at Western
Kentucky University and University of Kentucky. My first job was part-time during
college working for an attorney. After
finishing my study, I worked for two attorneys for three years. I met the man of my dreams and we
were married February 16, 1963. I
was hired at Fort Knox, August 1962, where I worked for 20 years as a legal
assistant. I also worked for the
State Highway Department for one year. During time at Fort Knox, after I
had worked five years, I quit in the spring to be a full time mother to our two
boys, one of which would not be born until the following fall. On Thanksgiving 1968, we moved to a
42-acre farm. Times were hard and I
prayed constantly to God for provision. To
assist with the finances, I began to bake cakes to sell. That caught on pretty good and before I
knew it, I was setting up wedding receptions, decorating for wedding ceremonies,
arranging flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and larger arrangements). My sons soon began to help and I paid
them. This helped them learn how to
handle time and money. When our sons went off to college,
so did I. I took computer
programming and later went back to work at Fort Knox to complete my 20 years. Since 1992 I have been on numerous
mission trips. I have been to
Michigan on four occasions for Vacation Bible School and Backyard Bible Clubs. A group of us went to Salt Lake City, Utah, to help a church. Another group went to the Appalachian
Mountains in Kentucky where we walked door to door with testimony and at night
led in a revival. I have been to the Ukraine twice and to Russia once. I have led a Bible study for women at the local jail for the past six years. I have served as a volunteer at the Heartland Crisis Pregnancy Center for the last year. God has “grown” me over the years in maturity. He isn’t finished yet, I know. His blessings never cease. He has always been my constant
companion. He provides, strengthens
and cares for us. He supplies all
our needs and many of our wants. He
is Lord!!!
