1. Letter From The Wanted Man:

Howdee All,

Today is September 8th, and I made it through Victory Fest. What a ride the last few weeks has been.

On August 29th, Brenda and I celebrated our 16th Wedding Anniversary. I have been so wonderfully blessed to have her be a part of my life, and to be a part of hers. She truly is the love of my life! Thanks to each of you who sent emails or cards to us.

On August 17th, Elizabeth and I performed at the Ontwa Baptist Church in Edwardsburg, MI. We had a great time visiting with Pastor Mike and his wife Linda. After service, we visited the Anglers' In at Lunkers and Elizabeth and I treated ourselves to some deep fried alligator tail. Now how many 6 year old girls do you know who likes alligator?

On August 29th, Brenda and I celebrated our 16th Wedding Anniversary. I have been so wonderfully blessed to have her be a part of my life, and to be a part of hers. She truly is the love of my life! Thanks to each of you who sent emails or cards to us.

Gene Callahan and I have been working together with Pastor Brian Rumer and the good people of New Life Baptist Church, in St. Joseph, Michigan, to put together the First Annual Victory Fest 2003.

This was held on September 6th, and it was a great success. We are estimating that between 500 and 600 people were in attendance. Live music was played throughout the day including Gene Callahan, Sharie Conard, Eric Gardner, All For One, Narrow Steps, and me. We even rehearsed a few as an "All Star" band, and Pastor Rumer sang "Thank God For Kids" with us.

Check out the pictures from Victory Fest at:

I want to thank all of you have voted in for me in the first round of the Country Gospel Connection Awards. I recently sent out another Email telling you that I made it through first round voting, and I ask you to vote again in the second round.

Tha address is:

http://www.countrygospelconnection.com/awards_nomination.asp

I am up for the CGC New Male Vocalist of the Year Award, and The Wanted Man Website has been nominated for the CGC Website of the Year Award. Since my last newsletter, I have also picked up a nomination for Songwriter of the Year.

Thank you for the many prayers said for my family as they deal with different health concerns. please continue pray for my Dad, as he is having some symptoms that are concerning us.

Be in prayer for the families of the victims of 9/11/2001 this Thursday, the second anniversary of the WTC Attacks. Also remember me, as I have been requested to lead a remembrance service at the company where I work on that day. Our country needs to look to God for guidance, and as Christians, we need to take up our rightful place in society and let our voices be heard. "We need God in Washington, and in the courts throughout our land."

Thank you for letting me again visit with you again this month, and also thanks for forwarding it around. I love hearing from people who have received this newsletter in a "forward" from one of you.

2. Featured Bible Study:

Some Decisions are Difficult to Make

At about 12:00 noon on November 30, 2001, my brother-in-law (my husband’s brother) was in an automobile accident. As a result of this "moment in time", his neck was broken in four places, his back was broken in two places, he sustained a severe head injury, and suffered a punctured lung, as well as other cuts, bruises, abrasions, and internal injuries. He was in a coma. He was flown by helicopter to University of Louisville Hospital where doctors and nurses worked for many hours trying to stabilize him. After talking with us (the family) numerous times, explaining what was happening to our loved one, the doctor later came to the waiting room and said, "I’m sorry, but we have to talk about where we go from here."

5. Interview: The Brydes of Christ

This months interview is with the Bill and Ray Bryde, The Brydes of Christ. Bill and Ray are brothers who form a Gospel duo singing a mix of original material and old time gospel favorites.

I met them on November 5th, 2002, when I was a guest at a meeting of the Michigan Gospel Music Association, where Ray currently serves at Secretary and Treasurer.

It is a pleasure this month to welcome The Brydes of Christ to The Wanted Man, and to have them share this time with us.

And now, the interview:

The Wanted Man: Hello, Bill and Ray. In way of introduction, please tell our readers a little about yourselves.

The Brydes OF Christ: We are two brothers who happened to be born with the last name of Bryde. We were raised in Michigan but Bill married and moved to West Virginia where he lived in for thirty years. After the death of his wife he moved back to Michigan to be closer to family. Ray stayed in Michigan and worked for the State for 29 years after which he retired and is now living his dream.

TWM: How did you guys come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?

TBOC: (Ray) In the summer of 1962 I went to summer camp for the one and only time. I was nine years old. During one of the evening services an invitation was given, and I went forward and gave my heart to Jesus.

(Bill) I came to know the Lord as my savior in college when I realized that I had been living a lie for many years. I had been acting the part without any real change taking place. During a revival service I made a final commitment and have never looked back.

TWM: How did you get started in Gospel music?

TBOC We had both been singing in churches and in other venues for many years separately. After Bill moved back to Michigan and Ray retired we were encouraged to join the Michigan Gospel Music Association by a friend who was in a gospel group. Reluctantly Ray joined then Bill followed in a few weeks. We have never regretted our decision and the Lord is blessing us through our ministry.

TWM: Do you have any CDs available?

TBOC: Yes. We have one CD called He Is The Reason I Sing which is the name of the title song.

TWM: Do you have another project in the works?

TBOC: Yes We are in the process of putting together two more CDs one of which will be called "Here Come The Brydes". The other one will be a compilation of all of our original music.

TWM: What other kinds of ministry efforts have you been involved with over the years?

TBOC: Bill is a licensed minister and has pastored a church in West Virginia. Ray was one of the founding members of the church where we both attend and has had an extensive music ministry over the years.

TWM: If the Lord tarries, what do you see in store for your future ministry efforts?

TBOC: That is completely up to the Lord. We would we happy to sing for him for the rest of our lives should he ask us to, but if he should take us in another direction we would go.

TWM: Are you making any appearances coming up where our readers can hear you perform?

TBOC: August 2nd at the Luce Co. Fairgrounds in Newberry Mi. August 17th and 21st at the White Oak Church in Terra Alta WVa. Aug. 29th at The Chapel in the Pines in Hudsonville MI. Oct. 4th the MGMA Fall Sing at The Chapel in the Pines. and on July 12th of 2004 we will be appearing at the Tabernacle of Praise in Atlanta Ga.

TWM: Do you have any words of advice or encouragement you would offer to anyone interested in music ministry, but are unsure of themselves and their

abilities?

TBOC: You will never know what you are capable of unless you give it a try. Ask your Pastor if you can sing a special one Sunday morning then poll your friends. If the response is positive branch out and do the best you can. If it is what God wants for you it will happen if you persevere. DON'T BE DISCOURAGED! There will be those who will try to steal your joy through criticism. Listen to the still small voice in your heart, it will never steer you wrong.

TWM: Thank you both for granting us this interview. I pray that God will continue to bless your ministry.

If you are interested in booking The Brydes of Christ for a concert, you can contact them at 517-321-4294 or by email at raybryde@netzero.net.

Please pray for The Brydes Of Christ, and the ministry that God has given them.

6. God's Plan of Salvation

Did you know God has a plan for you?

The plan He has is called Salvation, and it is a free gift from the God of Creation to YOU through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ!

Why You Need Salvation!

Romans 3:23 tells us that; ". . .all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

And 1John 1:8 says, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."

Do you believe in heaven and hell?

Matthew 25:31-34 and Matthew 25:41

"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides [his] sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, `Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:' Then He will also say to those on the left hand, `Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:'"

Did you know there's only one way to heaven?

John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"

1Tim 2:5 "For [there] [is] one God and one Mediator between God and men, [the] Man Christ Jesus."

So, how can I be sure I will go to heaven?

John 3:16-18 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

If you feel God is speaking to your heart right now, please pray this prayer

"Jesus, I believe You died on the Cross for me and that God raised You from the dead. I believe You took upon Yourself the punishment for my sins and my guilt. I know that You are the only Way to Heaven, and now I ask You to forgive me of every sin and come into my heart.

Jesus, I now make you LORD of my life...

I will love You, serve You, and obey You all the days of my life.

Thank You Jesus, for dying for me and giving me a new life in You.

AMEN"

If you have sincerely prayed this prayer for salvation in faith, believing that Jesus is the Living Son of GOD, the Bible promises that you now are a Child of God, and a joint heir with Jesus Christ.

Please locate a local church and speak to a Pastor. Also, please email The Wanted Man at testimony@thewantedman.com and tell me of your salvation experience. I want to rejoice with you and pray for you as you begin your walk with Christ.
